6 Foundations for Turning AI Prompts Into Actionable Personalized Learning Plans
Ariel Elyah
Assess an educational technology through pedagogy, equity, sustainability, return on investment, and long-term value before committing. This mini-course is built around the EdTech Critical Evaluator Assistant, a guided AI assistant that asks focused questions one at a time before creating a rigorous four-criteria EdTech report ending with one clear recommendation: pursue, pilot with caution, or avoid for now.
You will learn how to prepare the tool or platform, intended learning use, evidence or vendor claims, user population, costs, infrastructure, support capacity, and alternatives. The course shows you how to respond to the assistant’s guided workflow, keep the conversation focused, and shape the output around your real educational context.
By the end, you will be able to use ChatGPT to produce a rigorous four-criteria EdTech report ending with one clear recommendation: pursue, pilot with caution, or avoid for now, then evaluate it for evidence use, pedagogy-first reasoning, equity analysis, realistic total-cost assessment, durability, specificity, and decision clarity. You will leave with a repeatable process that can be adapted to future tasks while keeping professional judgment in the loop.
