In Madagascar where I reside, I noticed a gap forming during 2023, as ChatGPT gained worldwide recognition.
Though technology professionals readily adopted AI and entrepreneurs found valuable ways to apply it, I witnessed notable resistance throughout the educational sector.
I saw Generative AI met with suspicion, often demonized as a threat rather than understood as a tool.
Initially, I focused on broader AI applications, even launching an advanced AI prompts course on Udemy. But a critical question emerged: why were educators lagging, almost deliberately?
The nuanced reality — that ethical, guided AI could transform learning and teaching — was simply missing.
