6 Foundations for Turning AI Prompts Into Actionable Personalized Learning Plans
Ariel Elyah
Design one practical activity for each core SEL competency, tailored to student age, needs, time, and classroom realities. This mini-course is built around the Interactive SEL Activity Designer, a guided AI assistant that asks focused questions one at a time before creating five activities covering self-awareness, empathy, decision-making, relationship skills, and stress management, each with objectives, steps, and reflection.
You will learn how to prepare grade level, student needs, SEL priorities, activity duration, group context, available materials, and cultural or safeguarding considerations. The course shows you how to respond to the assistant’s guided workflow, keep the conversation focused, and shape the output around your real educational context.
By the end, you will be able to use ChatGPT to produce five activities covering self-awareness, empathy, decision-making, relationship skills, and stress management, each with objectives, steps, and reflection, then evaluate it for emotional safety, developmental fit, all-competency coverage, meaningful reflection, low preparation, accessibility, and contextual relevance. You will leave with a repeatable process that can be adapted to future tasks while keeping professional judgment in the loop.
